 Gundam models kit is one of the plastic modelling kits for the first timer to get involved in gunpla building. 

The words "gunpla" comes from the combination of word of "gundam" & "plastic". Another universal terms is "plamo" or "plamo kit's" means that "plastic models" or "plastic modelling kit's".

   This page contains advance customised work information on gunpla building. Therefore, a gunpla builder's have a various style to displaying theirs gunpla collection in a detolf. One of them is by doing some customising on their own gunpla's.

   A lot of gunpla builders have a various skill set according to their own building skills. So, their gunplas also have a different way of customisation such as Straight Builds, Weathering Effect, Battle Damages Effect, Clean Builds, Custom Builds, Kits Bashing, Kits Painting,Mechanical Builds, Electro Mechanical Builds  & Dioramas. 

    

   Straight Builds

A basic level build that come out straight out of the box with build accordingly to manuals book provided. The box also come with runners(gundam parts) and stickers or decals. This is a beginner's level to familiarised with a basic build on how to read the manuals and basic nubmark removings. In an advance basic skills build, there will be a seamline removing, nubmark sanding and a topcoat for final finishing. 

   Weathering Effect

A finishing that make a realistic effect looks on kit's. This is the effect where the environmental effect naturally appears to the surrounding objects or nature effects on surrounding areas. As an example, a rusting,chippings,sandy,dusty, muddy, oils, & etc. 

Battle Damages Effect

As for a normal anime animations, a battle could bring a damages for both side or even a fatal to the lossing sides. As for customs effects, the damage also will be applied on the gunplas to make a realistic battlefield scenes result. 

Clean Builds

A clean builds gunpla means that the build are clean from any mistakes during the process of building it. Clean builds also refers to build that are likely new looks comes out of factory. Whether is it straight builds or customs build as long as it has a clean looks. 

Custom Builds

Customs build is an advance customising that may using pla plates, putty, metals part, metal etchings,& etc. This customising also needed a lot of skill set to get a perfect detailed with minor mistakes. The process of this builds custom have more time spending and requires a lot of tools needed. As a result, the outcomes always the most details build and astonished. 

Kits Bashing

The best things about kits bashing is the freedom of customisations. It is beyond your imagination to create your gunplas combining different gunpla parts. There is 2 difference in kits bashing, there got part kit bashing and customised kit bashing. 

For part kit bashing, you can randomly switch parts such torso, waist, hand, leg, head with other kits. But customised kit bashing are not necessarily part switch only but a new looks or different shape of gunpla or kits such an insects looks!

Kits Painting

Most of the builders will paint their kit's after building it. For painting, there are 3 ways to paint whether to handpainting ,rattel spray can or by airbrushing. Either way, the results will have a different effects too. 

Mechanical Builds

Gunpla custom using this method usually have a moveable part. To get those moveable part, some may use pla rod, metals rods, customs hinges or custom frame part that are moveables. In some advance area, 3d print are reliable for some custom. 

Electro Mechanical Builds

Advance in electronic and moveable parts, some builder's use the application of electronics to be apply on theirs custom gunpla. This is a high level of customizing to make a real functional gundam looks. 

Builder's with this skills set are rarely seen in gunpla builder's community. 

Dioramas

Dioramas are commonly seen in gunpla builds events or in any gunpla tournaments. It is like "a cherry on top" for some of probuilders to build. Dioramas usually build to get a theme or a story for the gunpla builds. Gunpla build also usually have some connections with the backgrounds or diorama to get blend together to have the story effects. 

     Some of the customisation can be combined to get the best result for the best possible experience in gunpla custom quality works on displays.
